Centro Mexicano de Fertilidad Dr. Alberto Kably

The Dr. Alberto Kably Mexican Fertility Center traces its origins to the work begun at the first Institutional Reproduction Center in Mexico, located within the National Institute of Perinatology, nearly 30 years ago. Both clinical and laboratory personnel initiated pioneering work in reproduction at the aforementioned Institute, culminating 25 years ago with the founding of the current Center. This experience is evident in two areas: the first, purely clinical, is supported by the performance of more than 5,000 high- and low-complexity Assisted Reproduction procedures, demonstrating the group's clinical and laboratory capabilities; the second is related to academic output, with presentations at more than 500 conferences given by group members and over 150 clinical and basic research papers published in national and international journals, in addition to participation in more than 50 congresses both within and outside of Mexico over the past 20 years. We are convinced that in the field of Reproduction, it is impossible to separate clinical and academic activity in order to maintain the highest international standards of theoretical training, which will ultimately lead to successful procedures in practice. It is worth noting that over the past 25 years, numerous similar service facilities in the country have either disappeared or changed their focus. The persistence of our Center throughout this time positions it as one of the pioneers in Reproductive Medicine in the country. Finally, it should not be overlooked that Dr. Kably was the founder of the specialty at the university level in Mexico, as well as the driving force behind its recognition by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP). Dr. Roque heads the Reproduction service at the National Institute of Perinatology (INPer), and Dr. Carballo has been the most active advocate for the standardization and qualification of laboratory procedures in Reproduction for over 25 years.
